Hi! My name’s David. I’m an IELTS tutor from the UK, although I currently live and work in Asia. I love travelling, photography, and helping people live their dreams. 😊 For that last reason, I made this website. It is a place where people can study IELTS for free.

That’s me.

Learning IELTS doesn’t need to be boring. There are lots of fun ways to improve your academic English skills. One of the best available resources is the TED lecture series. Available for free all around the world, TED provides short, interesting, digestible material. TED lectures are perfect for use in the classroom or for studying at home. On this website we have collected the best TED lectures and paired them with material to help improve your IELTS score.

This site is primarily designed for students of IELTS but of course teachers are welcome to use this material in their classes. We also have a sister site, www.ielts-teaching.com, which is intended just for teachers.

Our philosophy is that English needn’t be dull. It might sound like a cliché, but learning a language should be fun! The more interest you have, the faster you will learn. Take a look around the site and see if you find something you like. We have articles and videos to help you with every part of the IELTS exam.

Get in touch with me through the comments, our Facebook page, on YouTube, or e-mail me at david@ted-ielts.com. I don’t use it much, but I also have a LinkedIn page. Oh yeah, and if you just want to practise your English skills, then join our daily lessons on Twitter!

If you want specialised help with your exam preparation, I offer writing correction and also one-on-one Zoom lessons. Contact me for details.
