There is some good news for people who wish to take their IELTS exam soon. IELTS testing centres around the world have begun to re-open following their closure due to the coronavirus outbreak of 2020.
When are IELTS Centres Re-opening?
In more than 100 countries around the world, IELTS testing centres have started to re-open. They have already begun testing again in places such as China, India, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Hong Kong, and the United Arab Emirates.
Of course, due to the on-going pandemic, certain precautions have been put in place to help ensure the safety of both examiners and candidates. According to the IELTS website, they will regularly sanitise the test venues, require their staff to wear masks and gloves, and follow social distancing guidelines.
You should consult with your local IELTS testing centre to confirm the necessary health guidelines, as there may be certain requirements according to local law or health official suggestions.
The IELTS organisers have requested that anyone who has been exposed to the virus or who is suffering from covid-19 symptoms, including a cough or fever, do not book a test.
To find out whether IELTS tests are available again in your local area, please visit the official IELTS website for details.

As always, you should make sure that you are thoroughly prepared for your test date. Do not rush into booking an exam just because you feel pressured. Take your time to get ready and do your best to build your skills and confidence ahead of time.
