Getting a high band score for IELTS writing is difficult. You study and study and study but you keep getting the same score… It is frustrating. You need a band 7 but you always score band 6!
When preparing for IELTS, all it takes to boost your listening and reading scores is practice. But for writing, you can practice over and over and still get nowhere.
We need feedback on our writing in order to improve. Without knowing our mistakes, we cannot change them. It’s that simple.
Sure, you can learn to analyze the question better. You can learn some grammar and vocabulary. You can even study useful structures to help you in the exam. But without a good teacher telling you what you need to improve, you will not get a higher score.
What sort of teacher do you need?
When looking for someone to provide you with writing correction services, you need to find an IELTS tutor who knows the exam well. You need someone who is good at writing and editing.
There are countless IELTS tutors online and many of them offer essay correction. You should choose the one you trust the most. Look at their previous work and see if it is of a high quality.
Maybe you could find someone who has written a successful book on Grammar for IELTS Writing…
At this point, I should mention that I am currently offering my own writing correction service. 🙂
If you are reading this, you probably are a subscriber of my website. Hopefully you have read some of my model essays and enjoy my writing style:-
- A task 2 sample essay
- Completely annotated essay
- Bar chart report
- 2 process diagram descriptions
- Unethical adverts: a task 2 essay
If you want me to correct your essay, I offer the following:
- Full corrections (grammar, vocabulary, etc)
- Feedback and advice on improvement
- A band 9 model answer
- 24 hour turnaround
- Band score estimate for each section
Here is an example of an essay I recently marked. (Please note that it is best to download my corrections in Microsoft Word so that you can easily see all of my notes and comments.)
And here is a video guide to my process:
Why should you choose me?
I have been teaching IELTS since 2010 and so I am very familiar with the writing exam. I have even written two books about IELTS: Grammar for IELTS Writing and A Complete Guide to IELTS Writing. In addition to those IELTS books, I have written a very successful book about the author, William S. Burroughs, and edited more than a dozen other books and literary journals through my company, Beatdom.
In terms of formal qualifications, I received my MA in Literature in 2007, passed a TEFL course in 2011, completed a CELTA in 2016, and have a certificate from Cambridge in teaching writing skills.
If you have any other questions about why you should trust me to give you writing feedback, you can send me an e-mail or Facebook message. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
- Choose an option below.
- E-mail me your essay (as a Microsoft Word document) to email@example.com.
- I will confirm your order.
- You will receive your corrected essay within 24 hours (except for Sundays).
Note: If there is any problem with your order, you can contact me through the above address or the TED-IELTS Facebook page. I will do my best to solve any problems quickly.
I don’t have PayPal – how can I order?
If you don’t have PayPal, you should still be able to pay with a credit card using the above PayPal link. If you still cannot pay, please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will try to arrange something else. I can accept Alipay, Payoneer, and Transferwise payments. I can also accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Do I choose my own question, or do you provide them?
You can send me any sort of IELTS writing question you like; however, if you prefer, you can choose from this list of IELTS writing questions (for both academic and general). This might be best because many of the questions you find online are FAKE. I often receive essays from students who have found questions online, and these are filled with spelling and grammar mistakes. This sort of question can actually make your English skills worse!
Do you only accept Academic IELTS essays?
No, I can provide feedback on any type of IELTS essay or letter.
How long does it take you to mark an essay?
Each essay takes me about 45 minutes to mark, including writing my own band 9 sample answer. I always return essays within 24 hours of receiving them, except for Sundays.
