About TED-IELTS

Understand your next step in IELTS preparation.

TED-IELTS brings together free practice tests and a library of lessons, explanations and worked examples. Choose one skill, try a short test, then use your feedback to decide what to practise next.

Practice that fits into your day

Our free tests take around 5–10 minutes. Speaking and writing ask for five short responses. Reading and listening each have 12 questions. You enter your email at the end to view and save your results. No payment or card is required.

How your feedback works

Reading and listening use answer keys with explanations. Writing and speaking use automated assessment to identify strengths and areas to practise. Some responses may need additional review. These are short practice activities, not official IELTS examinations or calibrated band predictions.

Learn from the library

Explore grammar explanations, sample essays, speaking examples and practical reading and listening advice. Original educational contributions are credited to their authors, including David S. Wills.

Who operates TED-IELTS?
