TGIF, everyone! You know what that means – it’s another weekly IELTS roundup. Once again, I am going to share with you some of the best IELTS materials that I found around the internet in the last one week. Get ready to learn!

Some Twitter Resources

I wonder how many of you are using Twitter these days. It is an interesting technology that provides many benefits but also presents a lot of problems. If you are an IELTS student (or anyone learning English), it is a great place to find some cool resources. Last week, I shared a few Twitter accounts that I follow.

This time, I am going to recommend that you follow the Cambridge Dictionary. I promise it’s not as boring as it sounds! They post things like this:

I also follow @BBCLearningEnglish, who post some great lessons and resources. Recently, they posted a brilliant lesson that can help with your vocabulary and listening skills. Check it out here. It’s not totally new, but you might also get value from this quiz about uncountable nouns.

Instagram for IELTS Material

Most people don’t think of Instagram as a learning resource. It is more often a place for killing time and checking out cool pictures. I have an account at @davidswills but I recently started a TED-IELTS one: @tedielts. Take a look:

I also follow a number of IELTS accounts, including @tips4ielts and @english.with.sheila. I have only been using this for a week but I feel that they are doing good work. They post often and what I have seen is good quality.

Other Resources

This week, the British Council posted two interesting links. The first one is a course about understanding IELTS writing better. The other is a collection of writing materials that should prove helpful to many of you.

If you want to learn some IELTS vocabulary, check out this post about education. Clearly, this is one of the most common topics to appear in the IELTS exam, so you need to be prepared.
